Updated: Aug 3, 2022
Our regular tips and tricks to securing your next role, avoiding some of the usual pitfalls faced along the way with #LRPjobs COO - Tiffany Rogers.

So what is it really like to work in a BPO?
The business Process Outsourcing sector is one of the largest growing industries in Europe. It has been helping Europe's economic status and providing jobs to millions of people.
It is also one of the fast-growing industries that many people would love to work in.
A BPO work is not a dead-end job. In fact, a lot of people dream of joining the industry as it gives them hope for a better future. There are still great things that one can experience in working in the industry.
Advantages of working in the BPO industry
Here are five excellent reasons to work in a BPO Call Centre:
1. Career Opportunities
BPO Contact Centres offer career opportunities to job seekers that other sectors of the globe would overlook.
You can come from any background at all with little to no office-based work experience and based on your language skills only, you will be employed to represent some of the world's most recognisable brands.
2. Better benefits
BPO industries are well known for providing the best benefits for their employees. Workers can get generous benefits from life insurance, premium health benefits, Relocation packages and discounted or sometimes free accommodation. Paid flights back to your home country once a year as well as language classes to help you speak the local dialect.
3. Career Advancement
Contrary to this belief, BPO employees are well-rounded, fast learners and flexible individuals who are always ready to step up in their careers.
In fact, after passing your probationary period in the Customer Service team, an employee can apply for supervisory, managerial, or other support roles.
Depending on your skill set and work history, application for different roles is open to everyone.
Some of our candidates placed this year have joined many of our BPO Employers at entry level and are now enjoying their career development in the Recruitment Team, Finance, IT, Sales & HR departments.
This career development would not be this rapid in any other classical employer anywhere in Europe.
4. Great amenities
BPO company buildings are most of the time situated in the heart of the city. It is created with a state of the art designs and amenities that are well thought out to address the needs of the employees.
Most buildings have sleeping quarters for agents with night shifts, kitchen areas, game rooms, gyms, and training rooms. These are designed to fit the fast-paced life of the employees and to give comfort and convenience to the employees.
5. Work-life balance
A BPO company requires each employee to work at least 8 hours a day for five days. Employees get to enjoy two rest days, giving them time with their family while taking care of errands and chores at home.
They even have extra time to spend with their colleagues after work or even on one of their rest days.
Jobs in BPO companies:
Many think BPOs usually only offer jobs in Sales or Customer Services. Contrary to this belief, call centres are only a part of what the industry has to offer. Employees can get hired according to their expertise and skillsets, giving them the chance to practice their professions better. At the same time, the industry is also open to entry-level employees looking for a stepping stone in their careers.
