German AI Labeling & Evaluation Agent - Relocate to Portugal

Are you a native German speaker looking to build practical experience in the fast-growing AI industry while living abroad?

Join an international AI project in Portugal, where you will help evaluate and improve the quality of AI-generated content. You will review chatbot responses, identify errors, apply quality guidelines, label data, rank outputs, and provide the human feedback that helps make AI models safer, more accurate and more useful.

What matters most: this is a genuine hands-on AI role, not basic customer service. You will gain direct experience in areas employers increasingly ask for, including LLM evaluation, AI annotation, quality assurance, content labeling and structured decision-making.

The package

• Salary: 1.300€ per month
• Additional Salary in Summer and Winter of 1.100€
• Additional Food allowance of 7.63€ per day - around 167€ per month 
• Accommodation: €280 per month, including bills (Typical comparable accommodation locally can cost €400–€500 before utilities)
• International work experience in Portugal
• Practical exposure to generative AI, LLMs and AI-quality processes
• Work alongside multilingual, international teams
• Start date is the end of August so you'll need to be available to move right away. 

The salary is modest by German standards, so we want to be transparent. With accommodation and bills included, however, at €280, your predictable monthly living costs are substantially lower than many relocation roles. This opportunity is best suited to someone who values a new country, an international lifestyle and credible AI experience, not someone comparing salary alone.

What you’ll do

• Review and evaluate AI-generated content, including chatbot responses
• Label, tag and annotate data used to train AI models
• Assess accuracy, relevance, safety and overall response quality
• Identify errors and inconsistencies, then rank AI outputs against clear criteria
• Apply detailed written guidelines consistently and objectively
• Help improve the performance, reliability and safety of large language models

What you’ll bring

• Native-level German, with excellent written communication skills
• English at B2 level or above
• A strong understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models
• Interest or experience in AI annotation, LLM evaluation, RLHF, SFT, QA, content labeling, Trust & Safety or analytical quality roles
• Strong attention to detail and evidence-based decision-making
• Confidence working with written guidelines, structured content and quality targets
